WHO WE ARE
Our Student Company sells fairly traded macadamianuts and oil produced by Kenyan small scale farmers. The farmers profit the most, as there are no middlemen between producers and us as sellers.
WHAT WE DO
The profit of the sale goes to a large extent to the Kenyan farmers, who benefit from stable prices and steady profits.
We hope to contribute to overcoming poverty by these effects of the new value added chain.
WE LOVE WHAT WE DO
An innovative value chain without any intermediaries but also transparency and traceability is very important for us, because we really care about the payment of the small farmers in Kenia. As
astudent cooperative we personally make contact with potential customers in our environment and try to keep it. We also sell our nuts and oil on events like school concerts, open days
orparent-teacher conferences. But that's not the only thing we want to achieve. A small part of our proceed is used for giving students the opportunity to travel to China and Kenia within the scope
ofthe project welt:klasse to take part in environmental projects with local partners and to make an exchange with the local population.
